Welcome to The
Charisian!
Charis is a fantasy author, published poet, and the undertaker of a master’s degree in writing and literature. For as long as she can remember, she has walked between whimsical fairytales and epic fantasy worlds, though it was in her early teens when she knew she was born to tell stories. Her poem, Vinyl and Fleece emerged through Poetry on the Move 2020, and in 2022, she had her first official publication with I long to grow old, published in the UC First anthology Crossroads. Charis is presently the Vice President of the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild.
When she isn’t studying or writing, she devours books and coffee, and slams out 10,000 words daily on a hyper-fixated project. One such project is a 120,000-word high fantasy standalone she started on the 29th of October, 2023, which is almost at completion barely a week later. She is presently attempting to decide what she will do for the remainder of NaNoWriMo 2023, as she has already overshot the 50,000-word requirement.
Visitors of The Charisian will find book and film reviews, writing posts, and other curious trains of thought.
